This is in response to Ruth Sellers opinion piece, “All Lives Matter — Period.”
Yes, all lives do matter but in my opinion, that is not the point of the Black Lives Matter movement. Let’s say for example I am marching in a political protest, things go sideways and I get arrested. Or, let’s say I pass a bogus $20 bill at a convenience store and get caught.
In either instance, am I worried about being beaten or being killed by the police during the arrest and trip to jail? No, not really. ...
