Bradley Zollars


 

 

Bradley D. Zollars, 82, passed away at his home on July 11.

Brad was born on Feb. 4, 1936 in Longton, Kansas, to Lois (Bryant) Zollars and Lawrence Zollars. He was the youngest brother to Waddie and Vernon Zollars.

Brad moved with his family to Southern California when he was a toddler, and then to Mariposa when in grammar school.

He graduated from Mariposa High School and then enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean conflict. After his time in the service, Brad returned to Mariposa where he worked for Chevron in Yosemite, and eventually owned the Chevron in Mariposa.

His career path led him from Mariposa to the Bay Area where he went to work for State Farm as an adjuster. He worked for State Farm for over 25 years.

Brad was a member of the Mariposa Lions Club, loved bowling and spent many hours rebuilding his 1967 Bronco. Brad enjoyed camping and water skiing with his family and, later in life, RVing and traveling with his wife, Lois.

Brad is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lois (Biehl) Zollars; children, Linda Cadenhead, Teresa Zollars and Kelly Willson; and stepchildren Kevin Carlin, Scott Biehl and Kelli Silipigni. Brad was blessed with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services will be held at a later date.
