Bill could make recreational fishing more accessible

Access to fishing is the focus of a new bill in the legislature.On Feb. 25, Assemblymember Jim Wood (D-Santa Rosa) authored Assembly Bill 1387, state legislation that will transition California’s calendar-based fishing license to one that is valid a full 365 days from the date of purchase and a mobile phone app that makes fishing easier and more accessible.
