Barry Price

Barry Lee Price was born in Stockton, Calif., in 1945 to Joseph and Gladys Price.

He died suddenly in an accident on the icy Merced River canyon road.

He was a contractor-handyman. He loved helping people and was always trying to save them time and money. He was a good friend to Mariposa and he cared about you all. He will be so missed; our hearts are broken.

Barry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; three sons and their families, Dennis and Lisa, Brian and Heather and Eric and Trina; and our adopted daughter, Mary. He has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is related to many people in Mariposa as he is descended from the old families who settled this area. He will never be forgotten and he will always be sorely missed.

We cannot have a memorial service right now as it is just too painful and raw. I think Barry would say that in his memory we should be as good as we can to each other, help when we can and never talk politics or religion or forget laughter and hope.

Good Bye, my love.

Just learned of this today. It saddens me for him, his family myself and most of of all his wife. I feel the loss as if he were a biological brother.
