Anger, greed creep into county

I have loved and been proud of Mariposa County all of my life. I remember as a little girl, the family get-togethers at Elliott’s Corner and my tiny grandmother and her three daughters and three daughters in-law in the large kitchen cooking dinner.
The stove, I recall, was an upgraded one that was part wood and part propane. (Probably not code compliant anymore.) The wood part kept the kitchen toasty warm in the winter and acted as a side board in the summer.
