 A new agreement between Mariposa County and the Department of State Hospitals will help inmates move through the court system in a more efficient manner.
The agreement was approved unanimously by the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors during last week’s board meeting.
The contract will help inmates who are deemed incompetent to stand trial to be treated and become competent to stand trial faster than they would normally be treated. This program is specific to non-violent felony offenders...
