The novel coronavirus may have claimed two more lives in Mariposa County. One death was reported last week by Mariposa County Public Health on Thursday, Oct. 21, with the second reported on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Seventh- and eighth-graders at El Portal School who studied an elective unit in French language and geography recently baked baguettes with teacher Paul Amstutz.
