Fire has long history in county

The Ferguson Fire is making history in Mariposa County. The fire is burning in areas that have not experienced fire in many years. But as local historian Tom Phillips points out, the area was part of a huge fire that burned in 1924. That fire was documented by the Mariposa Gazette. Phillips provided this news account from 1924.
