CALFIRE changes burn restrictions

Wednesday morning, CALFIRE issued new controlled burn restrictions. Burning is now only allowed above 3,000 feet elevation and only between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Possession of a valid burn permit is still required, and burning is only allowed on authorized “burn days.” Open burning is still allowed above 4,500 feet in elevation, on permissive burn days.
