We would like to have given a detailed account of the cele-bration
of the 26th, at Hornitos, by the Odd Fellows, and would
have done it had not our Reporter continued his performances
in that place for two days after, not getting home till it was too
late to say more than we have.

August Revel, a native of
France and a resident of
Sweetwater, this county, died
at his home last Tuesday
from softening of the brain.
Deceased was 56 years of
age and had been a resident
of Sweetwater for over
twenty years. He was a man
of family and a wife and two
minor children, a son and
daughter, survive the loss of
a husband and father who
was kind and generous to
them. Mr. Revel was a good
neighbor and a law abiding
citizen. He was buried in the
Catholic cemetery in Mari-posa
on Thursday.
