Bill Keller

Bill Keller passed away on Sept. 19, 2017, at his home in Mariposa with loved ones by his side.

He was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Nov. 24, 1937. His family moved to California when he was 10 years old.

He went into the Air Force to serve his country in May 1963 and served for five years. He then went to work for GTE Telephone Company in Westminster, Calif. He worked for that company until retiring in 1995.

He then moved to Mariposa where he lived a full and exciting life. He loved to go to Mexico and ride dune buggies and he also rode across the country on his motorcycle.

Bill’s other interests were being a big part of the Mariposa Masonic Lodge #24 where he held many offices, being a member of the Tehnaw Shrine of Fresno, Fresno Scottish Rite and he was also a past worth patron of the Order of Eastern Star Las Mariposa Chapter 200, where he received the Hiram Award.

Bill was also active in community service including the Mariposa Chamber of Commerce. He also helped with many dinners and events for the Merry Mountain Christmas Parade and he enjoyed taking pictures for all of the events.

Bill leaves behind his loving sister, Carolyn Williams; a niece, Valerie Bradford; and two nephews, Rodger Bradford of Wichita, Kansas, and Michael Bradford of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Services will be held at the Mariposa Masonic Lodge, 5154 Jones Street, on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m.
