Trial by fire

A graduation ceremony was held earlier this month for seven students who completed John C. Fremont Healthcare District’s nursing assistant training program. These students completed an intense eight-week clinical training program and are now eligible to take the state test for certification. “The Detwiler Fire took place during their program and the students jumped right in to prepare transfer packets and assist with those residents that we needed to send to other facilities during the fire. They put the residents first. I’m very pleased to congratulate them and welcome them to the team,” said Katrina Anderson, director of skilled nursing. Shown from left are Amber Caywood, Bailey O’Brien, Brittany Berg, Tina Miranda (class valedictorian), Teresa Gross, Grace Buschheuter and Acacia Baars.
