James Madding

James Donald Madding, 76, passed away on April 26, 2017.

Jim was born in Madera, Calif. on June 29, 1940. He spent most of his life in the Bay Area and moved to Mariposa in November 2004.

Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol J Madding; sister, Martha Hicks of Flippin, Ark.; son, Dennis Madding of Roseville, Calif.; daughter, Jill Zachod of Pleasanton, Calif.; daughter, Jeanie Mclean of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; son, James McLean of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; 10 wonderful grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Jim attended DeAnza High School in Richmond, Calif. and went on to get a bachelor’s degree in business at UCSF in San Francisco. He was an avid sailboat racer and a member of the Oakland Yacht club for many years. He served in the U.S. Army and worked at Pacific Bell until he retired 1987.

He will be missed by all of us.
