Phyllis Lambert

Phyllis “Hettie” Lambert journeyed to her beloved Hap on June 11, 2016. She was 93.

Phyllis leaves two daughters; Retha McPherson ( Jerry), Lake Don Pedro and Billie Walker (Cease), Cathey’s Valley; son, Mike Lambert (Stephanie), Turlock; sister, Francis Turner, Merced; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband,

Hap Lambert; parents, H.E. and Evelyn

Jones; brother, Buddy Jones; grandsons, Jeffery Lambert and Allen McPherson; great grandson, baby boy Clark and great-great-grandson, Miller Clark.

Phyllis and her husband, Hap, owned Hap Lambert Lockers in Le Grand as well as a catering business. They moved to Foresta in Yosemite and worked for the park service until their retirement.

Phyllis was a 50-plus year member of the Eastern Star, an honorary member of the Mariposa Mountain Riders of which she was chief cook and bottle washer for their annual three-day trail rides. She was an active volunteer for the USDA Brown Bag and Lord’s Pantry Food Distributions. She also served on the Gold Agers Board of Directors.
