Rhonda Wagner-Spaulding

Rhonda Wagner-Spaulding was born Dec. 17, 1964, in Oakland, Calif.

She sadly left us on May 6, 2016.

Rhonda was a 1984 Mariposa County High School graduate. She was credited with holding the record for the fastest time in the one-mile track and field event in 1982. She was inducted into the Mariposa Grizzlies Hall of Fame in 2002 as Southern League champions.

Rhonda worked for CAL FIRE for 27 years, retiring in December 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Spaulding.

She is survived by her father, Ron Wagner, of Las Vegas, Nev.; her mom and step-father, Bob and Elinor Todd; brothers, Anthony, Gilbert, Ronald and Robby and the love of her life and companion Ken Bissmeyer.

A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.

She will be missed by her family, many friends and her loving pets, Cody and Taz.

May she rest in peace.... I did not know her well, but she was married to my father, Sam Spaulding. May they both rest in peace now...
