New airport manager named by board of supervisors

Mariposa/Yosemite Airport has a new manager after the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors signed an agreement Oct. 6 with Airborrn Aviation Services.
“I’m really looking forward to the future of the airport,” said Mariposa County Public Works Director Tony Stobbe.
The airport hasn’t had an operator since KMPI left around two years ago.
The new fixed-base operator, Airborrn Aviation Services, is owned by Tony Borreson, who flew wide-bodied aircraft “all over the world” for World Airways for 25 years.

For the full story, see the Oct. 15 edition of the Mariposa Gazette.
