Aramark and Yosemite ink deal; Jensen out at Delaware North

The  National Park Service signed a concession contract Oct. 8 with Yosemite Hospitality, LLC, a subsidiary of Aramark, to provide concession services within Yosemite National Park.
The 15-year contract, the largest single contract in the National Park Service, will begin March 1, 2016. The current concessioner, DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, Inc., a subsidiary of Delaware North Co., has held the contract since 1993.
Delaware North has appointed Paul Jeppson, Delaware North at Yosemite vice president, to Chief Operating Officer. Jeppson will assume the responsibilities of Dan Jensen, who retired Oct. 6 from his position as president of Delaware North at Yosemite.

I hope this new

I hope this new concessionaire will be a little more benign towards motorcoach tour operators than its predecessor. That they take into account motorcoach passengers are eiher the elderly or the very young who do not drive their own cars and alleviate the heavy traffic Yosemite has suffered from. They deserve some consideration.
