Yosemite to celebrate its 125th anniversary

Yosemite National Park will hold a ceremony Thursday, Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to noon in front of the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center. The ceremony will commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Park. Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will include vintage music, an appearance by "John Muir," the Yosemite Mounted Patrol and students from the area. People who attend will receive a free poster, anniversary cakes and an opportunity to bring a memento for a time capsule.
