Another Yosemite visitor may have contracted plague

Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 - A second person who stayed in Yosemite National Park in early August has been diagnosed with the plague.

The person, who is not being identified, stayed in the Park and in the Sierra National Forest.

A Los Angeles boy was diagnosed with the plague in mid-July after he stayed at Crane Flat Campground. That campground was fumigated and reopened.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground is currently closed after two dead squirrels were found to have the plague. It will reopen on Friday, Aug. 21.
