Diane O. Richmond

Diane O. Richmond, born April 5, 1935 in New Jersey, passed away in Brandon, Fla. on April 24, 2015 of cancer.

She worked as a secretary in New York City until her marriage to Aden Molstad in 1961, when she moved to Brewster, MA. A divorce ended that marriage in 1968.

While on Cape Cod, Diane worked as a librarian and realtor. In 1969 she married Lt. Co. Kimball Russ Richmond and moved to California, settling in Mariposa. Shortly after this move the couple opened a store, The Country Craftsman, which sold books, did picture framing, and sold local crafts, including Diane’s beautiful stained glass creations. Russ passed in 1976, and some years later she moved to Point Arena with her partner, George Gilmore. In the late 1990s she and George relocated to Naples, Fla.

Diane is predeceased by her husband Russ Richmond, her parents Miriam and Bill Berke, her sister-in-law, Charlotte R. Harvey, and her partner George Gilmore. She is survived by her step-children Jennifer and Kimball Richmond of Eureka, Susan Dutson of Hinckley, Utah, and Chuck Molstad of Brewster, MA. Her surviving grandchildren are Elly Richmond Diaz of Redwood Valley, Katie Webb, and Peggy Wilson of Utah.

Diane is fondly remembered for her generous spirit and wonderful wit.
