Rock and mud slide closes Highway 140

The thunderstorms and heavy rain that prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood warning for Tuolumne County and northeastern Mariposa County, caused a rock and mud slide in the Dog Rock Fire burn scar that has closed Highway 140.

CalTrans has yet to issue information as to when the highly-traveled route to Yosemite National Park will reopen.
