Lana L. Cooper

Mariposa resident Lana L. Cooper passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on May 30, 2015 with her husband and daughter at her side.

Lana was born on Jan. 26, 1941 to parents Lauren and Stella Wenzel. She was born in Clovis, where she attended school, graduating from Clovis High School in 1958.

She was a homemaker for more than 56 years and an ECV Widder. Lana is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving husband Bob Cooper and her five children, Cheri Kekaha of Mariposa, Corey Street of Twain Harte, Joey Street of Coos Bay, Ore., Eric Cooper and Bryan Cooper, both of Henderson, Nev. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Summer and Mike Wilson of Coalinga, Chris Street and Nick Street of Sonora, Joseph Bertao, Steven (Stefanie) Bertao of Holdenville, Okla., Gabriel (Amanda) Street of Seattle, Wash., and Jenna PeTrohoy of Mays Landing, N.J., and six great-grandchildren.

The family has planned an Irish wake for Lana on Saturday, June 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds in Building B. Arrangements are under the direction of Mariposa Funeral Home.
