(Skip Strathearn | CONTRIBUTED)Monday, June 8, 2015 - 10:15 a.m. - The Fox Fire had consumed close to 25 acres near Lookout Mountain Road south of Ben Hur Road by 7 a.m. this morning, CAL FIRE Communications Operator Heather Sharpe said today.

The fire was reported at 12:06 p.m. on Sunday. Its cause is still under investigation, CAL FIRE spokesperson Karen Guilleman-Kanawyer said.

The fire was about 60-percent contained this morning. Five engines, with crews, were "mopping up" today, Sharpe added.

With county lands tinder dry, and temperatures in the 90s, fire officials ask residents to exercise extreme caution in regards to fire.
