SFCS board of trustees scrap controversial play

Wednesday, Arpil 30, 20:15 9:48 a.m. - After hearing the voices of parents and concerned individuals at a special meeting Tuesday evening at Sierra Foothill Charter School in Cathey’s Valley, the nine-member board of trustees unanimously voted to scrap the showing of the controversial play, “And Then Came Tango.”

Principal Alfonso Garagarza told the Gazette Wednesday morning that  around 75 percent of those expressing concerns at the meeting gave a thumbs down to the play’s presentation by Fresno State’s Department of Threatre Arts.
