(GAZETTE file photo)Monday, April 13, 2015 - 4:30 p.m. - The local school board on Thursday will decide where Grizzly football home games will be held next season.

The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Mariposa County Unified School District board room at 5082 Old Highway North.

While some think the board is leaning towards moving home games to the local fairgrounds, a show of support for Grizzly Stadium might yet sway trustees, head football coach Ryan Oliphant said.

"We want to play on campus," Oliphant said. "A lot of volunteer work was put into the stadium and it would be a shame to see the project come to an end. I know there are a lot of challenges at both stadiums, but I believe playing at Grizzly Stadium is in our team's best interest."

Parents, students and other community members are welcome to "come to the meeting and voice their opinion," Oliphant added.
