Obituary

Frank Henry Williams was born to Kenneth and Viola (Taylor) Williams at home in Darrah, Mariposa County, on July 25, 1944. He passed away at home on March 24, 2015, at the age of 70 with his family around him.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 48 years, Linda (Garcia) and his brother, Warren. He is survived by his son, Tony (Beth) Williams of Mariposa and daughter, Stacy of Sacramento; grandchildren, Riyn, Shea and Jacob of Mariposa and Ty and Payton of Sacramento; sisters, Frances (Dick) Morton, Joanna (Duane/Bo) Beaudoin; brother, Kenny (Mary) Williams from Mariposa; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank also leaves his best friend and classmate, Carol (Dewhurst) Martin, who said she never saw a kinder, nicer man than Frank.

Frank went through the Mariposa County Schools, graduating in 1962, and Modesto Junior College. He was proud to serve his country overseas in Okinawa, receiving the Army Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal.

While living in Hayward but longing for the mountains of home, Frank and family returned to Mariposa where they opened the Golden Chain Feed and Supply and later Sierra All- Sports. Frank loved sports and children and was always supporting baseball, football and basketball. He was so proud of the teams and would tell them when they did wrong.

The family would like to thank hospice for their care and love during their father’s illness.

Please join the Williams Family for a Celebration of Life and potluck (BYOB) at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds, Building A, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4.
