(Erik Skindrud | The GAZETTE)Wednesday, April 8, 2015 - The Mariposa Public Utility District is tweaking its regulations to comply with new statewide water rules announced by Gov. Jerry Brown this month.

This week, the district designated Tuesday, May 5 to discuss new Stage 2 water restrictions that would ban watering within 48 hours of rain and specify a 25-percent overall reduction in use or reduce the number of days outdoor irrigation is allowed from three to two.

Information on the May meeting should be posted to the district Web site, www.mariposapud.org, by Thursday, district general manager Mark Rowney said today.
