Ginger Lee Morrow

Ginger Lee Morrow, 67, passed away at her home in

Midpines on Dec. 11, 2014.

Ginger was born in San Diego to William Sperry and Mabel Marshall on June 20, 1947. In 1967 she moved to Mariposa County. She married Raymond Delbert Morrow on Feb. 15, 1975, and together they had three children.

Ginger and her family made their home in El Portal until 1993, when they moved to Midpines. In 2012, Ginger retired from Yosemite National Park and the National Park Service. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, working in her yard and the occasional trip to a casino with a close friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, to whom she was married for 24 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents and by her older brother, Jesse Sperry. She is survived by her three children, Robert, Angela and Frances Morrow and her eight grandchildren, Ashley, Colton, Alexa, Kylee, Caitlin, Elaina, Hannah and Morgan.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

Ginger’s family would like to thank their wonderful family, friends and community for their outpouring of support and comfort during this time. The family will host a celebration of her life at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the El Portal Community Hall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ginger’s family at Yosemite Bank, where an account has been established in her memory.
