Ponderosa Basin home damaged by fire

Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 - 4:06 p.m. - Around 3 a.m. this morning, firefighters responded to a residence at 2450 Coachman Road in Ponderosa Basin. According to Interim Fire Chief and Sheriff Doug Binnewies, first responders found a fully-involved structure fire.

The resident, Albert Nocciolo, was treated for burns to his hands by Mercy Ambulance. He was later cleared to leave.

Both Mariposa County Fire and CAL FIRE responded to the blaze, which is still under investigation.

The amount of damage to the structure is yet undetermined. No other details are being released at this time concerning the blaze or about Nocciolo's condition.
