Kjeldergaard arrested for attempted murder

Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, 10:35 a.m. - Very early this morning, Mariposa County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nickolas Kjeldergaard, 24, of Mariposa for attempted murder that reportedly happened on Halloween.

According to the sheriff's office, Kjeldergaard fired several gunshots into a vehicle occupied by the victim, striking her one time in the back. The victim's name is not being released at this time.

Kjeldergaard is being held in the Mariposa County Jail on $1 million bond.

Also arrested at the scene was Jerrod Lancaster-Ames of North Carolina. He was taken into custody in connection with the drug operation that was uncovered at the residence near Lushmeadows.
