Micro-quake rattles area

Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, 8:27 a.m. - According to the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, a magnitude 2.8 micro-quake hit Mariposa around 9:45 p.m. Sunday evening.

The quake was reported to have been centered approximately seven miles south of Mariposa and the hypocentral depth was 16 miles.

No other information has been released.
