(NPS | CONTRIBUTED)Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 - 11:30 a.m. - At least two of Yosemite's lightning-sparked fires remain active following last weekend's light rainfall, Park officials report.

The most active is the Cathedral Fire, which is still producing visible smoke, Park Fire Education and Information Manager Gary Wuchner said.

The Meadow Fire, which made headlines last month when it forced helicopter evacuations from Half Dome and vicinity, "has three areas showing light smoke," Wuchner said.

Most trails in the Little Yosemite Valley area were open as of Sept. 26, a Park announcement said.

The Dark Hole, El Portal and Double Rock fires are now out, Wuchner said.
