Health department issues boil order for Coulterville

Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 - 9:50 a.m. - Around 7 p.m. last night, residents living in the Coulterville Water District reported to the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office that they had no water. As a public safety precaution, the Mariposa County Health Department has issued a boil order for all residents in that water district, effective immediately.

According to Sheriff Doug Binnewies, public works employees responded to the Coulterville community and were able to currect the problem.

Due to the water flow stoppage, the  health department has requested a water Boil Order notice distributed to the clients of the Coulterville Water District until further notice.

Potable water is to be boiled for at least one minute to ensure that it is safe to consume.

This is a safety measure until further testing can be done.

Look for further details as they develop.
