Harley rider takes tumble, ends up in cuffs

Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 - 2 p.m. - A 28-year-old Harley Davidson rider was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he crashed his motorcycle in the Hornitos area on Sunday afternoon, Officer Tim Kilcrease of Mariposa's CHP office said.

Justin Lance Robinson of Atwater lost control of his cycle and was ejected from it as it rolled down an embankment off Hornitos Road east of La Paloma Road. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Kilcrease said.

Robinson experienced minor injuries in the incident. He was transported to John C. Fremont Hospital for treatment.

Mariposa's CHP office reminds motorists that officers enforce driving-under-the-influence laws every day of the week. A special DUI enforcement checkpoint is planned for this Saturday evening and early Sunday morning, on Aug. 30 and 31, at an undisclosed county location, the office has announced.
