Superintendent search, hire policy may change

Friday, June 20, 2014 - 11:30 a.m. - A new policy regarding the selection of the top administrator in the Mariposa County Unified School District may be close to being implemented.

The board of trustees held a first reading of the new policy on June 19 that would establish a search and hiring process related to future superintendent candidates in Mariposa County.

It is also interesting that the firing practices of employees has been deemed unconstitutional. Too many great teachers have been let go over the last couple years due to tenure rules keeping around inept teachers. Big changes. Districts will have to actually evaluate and provide a reason for termination.....
