Can Shelton conquer Tevis Cup?

(Greg Knight | The GAZETTE)Wednesday, June 25, 2014 - 10:30 a.m. - As in past years, Mariposa will be represented in the 2014 Tevis Cup, with local barber and horse lover Bill Shelton making the trip north to take part in the event on Aug. 9.

Shelton, a life-long equestrian, will ride his 10-year-old Arabian gelding Jiorgio-Finisz B, also known as “George” in the grueling 100-mile ride from Truckee to Auburn that will pit man and horse against time and the trail.
