Evacuation orders lifted in area

(Greg Knight | The GAZETTE)Sunday, June 8, 2014 - 9:20 a.m. - The Valley Fire, which is burning near the 7900 block of Hunters Valley Road, has engulfed 90 acres, with 80 percent containment as of Saturday morning.

An evacuation order for the area of Hunters Valley Road has been lifted.

According to the CAL FIRE Web site, the blaze began at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Three structures have been confirmed to be destroyed and an additional 40 were threatened.

At least one injury was reported on Friday and an ambulance was dispatched at approximately 6 p.m.

More than 350 firefighters are on scene battling the blaze. Air tankers and helicopters have also been deployed.
