1972 Grizzly football team will be inducted

(Mariposa County High School | CONTRIBUTED)Wednesday, June 4, 2014 - 12 p.m. - When the Mariposa County High School Grizzly Hall of Fame inducts the 1972 football squad at its annual dinner on June 21, it will honor a team that finished with an overall record of 7-2, a  4-1 tally in the Southern Athletic League, and ended the season second only to Central Catholic, which won the Northern California small school championship that year.

The team will be honored at the gala dinner at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds Sequoia Hall. Tickets are $40 and are available at Mariposa Feed and Supply, Pizza Factory and the GAZETTE office. For more information, call Trace DeSandres at 966-8176.
