Double murder suspect, victim lived in county

(Mariposa County Probation Department | CONTRIBUTED)Monday, June 2, 2014 - 10:30 a.m. - A Mariposa man was killed by Merced County Sheriff’s Department deputies on the morning of Saturday, May 31 after he allegedly killed his wife and her sister at a home in Turlock the previous evening.

Brian Hiatt, 49, who lived on Usona Road with his wife, Ronda Cupin-Hiatt, was shot and killed by deputies near the Motel 6 in the 200 block of South Walnut Road. Hiatt was wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of Ronda and her sister, Lisa Dennis-Robbins on Friday.
