Griz fall short in section series against Bradshaw Christian

(Beth Williams | CONTRIBUTED)Thursday, May 22, 2014 - 11 a.m. - Facing off against the Pride of Bradshaw Christian, the Grizzlies’ baseball team had a chance last week to exact a measure of vengeance against the team that kept them from the 2013 Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI pennant—though it was not to be, in the end.

After making it to the best-of-three series against Bradshaw by beating Forest Lake Christian on May 15 by a 3-2 final score, the Griz found themselves praying to the baseball gods as the Pride took Mariposa down in a 6-0 shellacking on May 17. 

The loss set up a must-win situation for the Grizzlies in games two and three on Wednesday, May 21 at Stagg High School in Stockton—and the team found itself victorious in game two with a 2-1 win.
