Two arrested in early pot bust

Thursday, May 29, 2014 - 9:30 a.m. - Two adult men were arrested on Allred Road this morning by Mariposa County Sheriff's deputies and Yosemite National Park law enforcement and hundreds of marijuana plants were seized.

The search warrants were connected to the on-going illegal marijuana cultivation and sales investigation involving several Mariposa County residences and parcels.

"This is a complex conspiracy for sale investigation that has involved several properties to date.  Several arrests have been made and some involved have already been sentenced in local court," said Sheriff Doug Binnewies.

The entire parcel on Allred Road was set up to produce high quality marijuana and about 620 marijuana plants will be eradicated along with thousands of dollars of complex indoor grow equipment.  Again the PG&E power boxes have been jumped, stealing power to provide energy to the indoor system.  Not all structures on site were actively producing marijuana, however, they were being prepped to grow marijuana if they were not already.

"Evidence collected from previous search warrants led our detectives to this property," Binnewies added. “Our communities do not want these hazards next door.  I’m hoping his group gets the clue that we are not going to allow this criminal activity here and they move on.”

Yeah for our SO.

Yeah for our SO.

It is such a tragic situation

It is such a tragic situation when people like that move in to such a lovely area to selfishly make money doing something against the law AND steal utilities from unsuspecting neighbors! This is another case where keeping your eyes and ears open could put law enforcement on these fools before we have another tragedy like the one that happened on Ganes Corral Rd, when the pot growing operation caused a home to blow up and 3 dogs to be left behind by the creeps that set this all into action
