Griz edge Patterson at Hilmar tournament

Thursday, April 24, 2014 - 8:45 a.m. - It wasn’t a typical blowout like the Grizzly baseball team is accustomed to, but by beating the Patterson Tigers, 6-3, at the Hilmar tournament on Wednesday, April 23, the team from Mariposa County opened a four-game stretch at the tourney as a team to beat.

In addition to playing Patterson, the Grizzlies will face Sac-River League leader Red Bluff (6-0) today, Hilmar (5-4) on Friday, and close out the tournament against Elliot Christian (3-4) on Saturday. The Griz will return to Southern Athletic League action on Wednesday, April 30 when the team travels to Ripon Christian.
