Greg Knight | The GAZETTEMonday, March 31, 2014 - 10:35 a.m. - For nearly the entire game against Ripon Christian on Friday, March 28, it was a case of high drama at the home pitch of the Lady Grizzlies as the team fought for an intense 3-2 Southern Athletic League victory over the Lady Knights.

The game was a textbook example of physically aggressive play for both teams, with the Knights utilizing body checks, though drawing no red cards, and going a little more that shoulder-to-shoulder while defending. Mariposa was equally as physical, though not resorting to the outright hits Ripon is known for.
