Wins give Lady Grizzlies tie for best in SAL

Mark Deger | ContributedMonday, March 24, 2014 - 10:30 a.m. - The Lady Grizzlies soccer team rolled to three consecutive victories in the past week, taking down Denair, Gustine and Turlock Christian in quick succession to log a 7-1-1 overall record and tie for the lead in the Southern Athletic League (SAL) standings.

The run began for Mariposa in Denair on March 17 as they played the Lady Coyotes in a match that was rescheduled after heavy rain earlier in the month. In typical fashion, senior Savannah Deger was the on-field leader for the Lady Grizzlies in the 6-0 blanking of Denair, scoring twice in the first half.
