Monday, March 3, 2014 - 12:00 p.m. - The Lady Grizzlies soccer team opened its 2014 preseason at the Cal Spring Classic tournament in Woodland last weekend, coming away with a trio of wins and a third place finish overall.

Although the team dropped its opener to Foothill on a 4-1 loss, it bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Stagg and a 1-1 tie with Inderkum.

That performance was good enough to land Mariposa in the consolation match against Fairfield’s Rodriguez High School, where the team held out to take a 1-0 win and the consolation trophy.
