Lillian Kloor Redfield

A beautiful soul left us on Jan.17, 2014 at 7:22 a.m. The only promise she couldn't keep was to live to 100.

Lillian “Diamond Lil” Kloor Redfield was born on Oct. 1, 1917 was 96 years, three months and 16 days old when she joined all our loved ones that left before her.

She was the “last of the Mohicans,” preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters, the love her life Carl N. Redfield, and son Steven Sandy Salkind.

She was born in New York to Harry and Jennie Kloor, immigrants from Eastern Europe in search of a better life. Lil lived life to the fullest, never one to skip a party, a cruise or a chance to volunteer. Her many stories retold in the greatest of detail will live in our hearts forever.

“I’ll sleep when I die” was her favorite saying. She leaves behind her daughter, Eileen, and husband, Burt Collins; grandchildren, David, and wife, Kristen Collins; Donna, and husband, Jim Rutherford; Kim Salkind; and great grandchildren Shannon, Steven, Jennie, Hannah, and Lindsey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1 for all those that wish to attend and share memories at the club house of Plaza Del Rey Mobile Home Park located at 1225 Vienna Drive in Sunnyvale where she lived.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at (800) 227- 2345
