Shirley Ann Koch Matlock

Shirley Ann Koch Matlock was born on Dec. 31, 1950 in Sacramento to Frank and Edna Koch of Mariposa. She passed away on Dec. 1, 2013, at her home in SeaTac, Wash. after a long illness.

She grew up in Mariposa, and graduated from Mariposa County High School in 1969. She enjoyed traveling, reading, family gatherings, and was accomplished at cross-stitchery. She was retired as office manager at SeaTac Storage.

Shirley is pre-deceased by her father, Frank Koch. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Lloyd Matlock, daughters Janelle (Terry) Hellene of Auburn, Wash., Lindsey Phelps of SeaTac, Wash., Jeniffer (Corey) Bloom of Roseville, Calif., mother Edna Koch of Puyallup, Wash., sister Marilyn (Robert) Hooker of Puyallup, Wash., four grandchildren, Samantha and Sadera of Auburn, Wash., Christian and Noah of SeaTac, Wash., nephew Robert (Cindy) Malland of Bonney Lake, Wash., and niece Melissa Hooker of Puyallup, Wash.

Graveside services and interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Snohomish, Wash.

Dear Marilyn, So sorry to hear about your sister. I know just how that feels. I'm glad my mom didn't outlive my sister. She had so much suffering as it was. My prayers are with you. Kathy Whipple Wong
