Second Midpines forum was Saturday, Nov. 2

A second Midpines forum happens this Saturday, Nov. 2.

Comments can also be contributed at the Mariposa County Web site at www.mariposacounty.org/Blog.aspx?IID=9#comments.

The Nov. 2 forum covers “Economic Development, Housing, Character, Culture and History in Midpines.”

Erik Skindrud/The GAZETTEErik Skindrud/The GAZETTEA panel of experts will discuss these topics and attendees will then meet together to discuss the important issues and concerns facing the community. Opinions of participants will then be presented to the Mariposa County Planning Commission and Mariposa County Board of Supervisors for use in preparing the first Midpines Community Plan.

The Mariposa County General Plan states that communities within the county should have their own plans so the unique character and interests of these communities can be expressed and protected as a matter of county policy. The Midpines Community Planning Advisory Committee started the community process in January of this year.

Residents may log on to the county’s Web site and have a say at any time about a wide range of topics of importance to the community.

Morning refreshments will be provided at the forums and a lunch will be available.

For more information call 742-1216.
