Linda Williams

Linda was born on June 7, 1947, in Oakland. She passed away on Oct. 9, 2013, at the age of 66.

In 1962, Linda met the love of her life, at the age of 14, Frank Williams. Three years later they ran off to Carson City, Nev. to get married on her senior prom weekend, May 24, 1965.

They first lived in Hayward where they had two amazing children, Tony and Stacy Williams. They moved to Mariposa in February of 1976, where they opened up their first business, Golden Chain Feed and Supply.

Linda worked several different job,s but the most precious jobs to her were being a wife and mom. She would do anything for her family to make them happy and make them laugh. She always would tell stories or jokes and you would just have to laugh because she was so crazy.

When Linda had her first grandchildren, she said she was too young to be called grandma so the nickname LaLa was born. Tony and Beth Williams have three children, Riyn, Shea, and Jacob. Stacy just recently adopted two children, Ty and Payton, which brings the total to five grandchildren. Linda always loved being around the big Williams family of Mariposa, and enjoyed her day trips to Chuckchansi with Joann Beaudoin and Sandy Sommers.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., this Friday, Oct. 18 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds. It will be a potluck and in lieu of flowers a donation for the service will be greatly appreciated.
