Robert D. Taylor

On Aug. 28, 2013 Robert D. Taylor, known as “Mr. T” to local high school students, went to be with the Lord Jesus.

He and Doris, his wife, were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22.

Taylor leaves behind Doris and their five children and mates. They are Michael and Patricia Taylor; Nina and Stephen Krull; Timothy and Emma Taylor; Julie and William Hibpshman; and Andrew and Jennifer Taylor. Bob and Doris had 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. He always served the Lord and family with his happy ways, love, wisdom and support.

Taylor served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and then Lockheed in the formative years of the space program as an engineer. Upon retirement from Lockheed in 1985, the Taylors moved to Mariposa, where Bob served this community as a substitute teacher in the middle and high schools for a number of years, only to retire again in the turn of the century.

Bob loved God throughout his adult life and graduated into His arms last Wednesday now to live forever with Him. His family will miss his wonderful, happy presence, but each one carries a part of Bob .

There will be a celebration service to honor Bob on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship on Cole Road. All are welcomed to attend.
